Enjoying an Easter basket from the Messicks
That's a Peep on her chin...yummy!
Happy Belated Easter to all of you! We had a very nice and quiet Easter. Grandma Baer came for a visit got a chance to spend time with Sharon...we're not sure who had more fun!
We hope you are all enjoying the blessings of this season. Sharon came through Lent stronger than ever (i think she wishes she could have "given up therapy for Lent"). She is using her right hand in little ways that she hasn't before and her legs are getting stronger too. She hasn't made any hurdles with her gross motor skills, like learning how to get in and out of sitting or crawling positions. But we know she will get there someday. In the meantime, we get to rejoice in every tiny achievement she makes. This has given us the chance to be so appreciative and attentive to everything she does. We know that all parents are proud, but since every move for her is a triumph, we feel like we get to feel so much more pride and excitement for her...and while other parents of toddlers spend their days chasing after their little ones, i get the chance to cuddle mine and hold her...longer than most mothers get! So I like to count our blessings :)
Sharon had a hearing test today that i finally agreed to to rule out any hearing issues that could affect her speech. She passed with flying colors (as i knew she would!) and it was so nice to have a doctor say "She did so much better than other kids do! No problems at all here!
Happy birthday to RJ this week...Sharon loved his candles and tried to grab them off the cake...while they were still lit :) I'll have some good pix to put up in a few days...
love to you all!

I had to post a couple of pix from this past weekend. RJ was out of town so Sharon and I stayed with Jax and Sharon had a ball with her cousins.
Sharon's big news this week is that she has molars. Yes, poor baby. I've been saying all along that she has never stopped teething, and it's true. Two teeth came in last week, but two more came in right behind them. And somewhere in there, molars are popping up too. She's such a trooper. It's a lot to take!
She's really doing well in her "little gym" class and i'm very glad to have her in there. She can't quite keep up with the others in the class, but she is very sociable and loves being around other kids! And the other parents are all rooting for Sharon and take time to try and help with her which is really nice.
She has now started waving and saying "Bye bye" at the same time which is Fabulous. She's quite proud of herself!
God Bless and have a BLESSED EASTER!
Jaye, RJ, and Sharon I.
